My name is Sophie Hilleard and I brought Rugged and Ready in 2019. I have been actively involved in Pony Club my whole life and I have received my A test. I love coaching when I am not in the rug room. I know how important it is to look after your rugs and get the best performance and longest life from them. I do all the washing and repairing my-self with my trusty sewing machine. 

I am just as concerned about the environment as you are. I use environmentally friendly products like Nikwax for washing and reproofing. In the future I would like to look into harvesting rain water to pre wash the rugs in.

Controlling Cross Contamination

Rugged and Ready is concerned about the spread of disease. All batches of rugs are handled separately to avoid contamination. All machines and equipment is disinfected regularly. If you suspect you have an infection on your rug, please let me know and I can work with you and your vets. I never disclose any of my clients information.

How we do it

At Rugged and Ready I hot wash and dry the rugs naturally either in the sunshine or in my drying room, with no tumble drier in site! I do all the repairs in house and all rugs are bagged and placed in our store room, ready for you to collect them. 

These methods ensure your rugs do not shrink, damage or lose shape which often makes them lose their integrating properties when washed.
